At Motorworks, we’re more than just a workshop — we’re a team built on trust, experience, and a shared passion for keeping heavy vehicles performing at their best.
We bring together years of hands-on industry knowledge, technical expertise, and customer-first thinking. Whether it’s diagnosing a tricky fault, managing logistics, or planning preventative maintenance, you can count on a team that’s aligned in purpose and proud of what we do.
I’ve been in the mechanical game for over 40 years—most of that time spent getting my hands dirty on construction machinery and heavy trucks. From breakdowns on the job site to major overhauls in the workshop, there isn’t much I haven’t tackled. I’m passionate about keeping heavy vehicles running reliably and efficiently, and I’m proud to lead a team that shares the same commitment to quality, safety, and service.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the land and outdoors. Farming keeps me grounded and connected to the practical side of life, while fishing—whether it’s out at sea or on the lakes—gives me the chance to unwind and reset. I’m also a keen game bird hunter and enjoy the discipline and camaraderie that comes with it.
Another big passion of mine is motor racing. I’ve competed in my time and still love following the sport—there’s something about the mix of speed, engineering, and precision that mirrors my approach to business.
Whether it’s fine-tuning an engine, catching fish, or getting behind the wheel, I believe in doing things properly, taking pride in the process, and always looking for ways to improve. That’s the same philosophy I bring to our workshop every day.
I have 18 years in the automotive industry, initially working on cars, but pretty quickly found my way into the world of trucks and heavy construction machinery—which is where I’ve been ever since. There’s something incredibly satisfying about diagnosing and fixing the big gear, and I take real pride in doing a job once, and doing it right.
I enjoy being part of a team that’s focused on solid workmanship and keeping customers’ equipment running strong. No two days are the same in this industry, and that’s what keeps it interesting after all these years.
Outside the workshop, I’m into anything with wheels and an engine. Motorsport has always been a passion of mine—both racing and watching—and I spend as much time as I can out on the bike. There’s nothing quite like hitting the road on two wheels to clear the head.
Most important of all, I’m raising a young family, and that’s where a lot of my time and energy goes these days. It’s a busy life, but one I wouldn’t trade for anything. Whether it’s work, family, or hobbies, I’m all in.
My industry experience spans over 35 years. I started out in the automotive parts industry and, over time, worked my way through trucks, forestry equipment, and marine divisions. It’s been a long and rewarding journey, and I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of finding the right part to keep things moving—no matter how big or complex the machine.
Outside of work, I’ve always had a passion for anything with wheels and an engine. Over the years, I’ve owned everything from go-karts and a 1500cc 6-cylinder trike to a V10 Dodge Ram—if it’s loud, fast, or a bit different, I’m into it. I’ve made the trip across the ditch to watch the V8 Supercars at Bathurst and Adelaide, and I’ll happily talk motorsport with anyone who’ll listen.
I’ve raised three great kids who are now grown up, and these days I enjoy a good catch-up and a bit of social time when I’m not working or out in the shed. Whether it’s parts, engines, or racing, I’ve always been happiest around machines and the people who love them.
